Woman caught on camera vandalizing Ontario police vehicles with landscaping bricks

A local transient, 38-year-old Theresa Marie West, entered the police department parking lot and damaged seven Ontario Police Department patrol vehicles.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:40 a.m. on Sunday. West removed landscaping bricks on or near city property and began throwing them at patrol cars. West continued throwing rocks at a nearby B&B Printing building, causing similar damage. She then called Malheur County Dispatch to report her actions.

Following a short pursuit, West complied with officer commands and was arrested immediately. Her behavior was erratic. She was sweating profusely and screaming about bugs being on her and biting her. She admitted to recent Psilocybin mushroom ingestion.

West was transported to a local hospital and cleared by medical personnel, and later lodged on seven counts of Criminal Mischief I and Malheur County Jail.

Property repair costs are unknown, but early estimates suggest more than $15,000.

Ontario Police suggests calling Lifeways, Ontario, at 800-995-9169 or Altruistic Recovery, Ontario, at 541-216-6068 if you know a friend or loved one suffering from substance use disorder.

A CBS2 viewer shared a cell phone video captured Sunday afternoon of a woman vandalizing Ontario Police vehicles parked outside the local precinct.

A separate video shows what appears to be the female suspect being arrested in a park a short distance away.
