Hawks to become the 'Boise Baconators' for five games this season
BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The Boise Hawks will be playing as the Boise Baconators, thanks to a new partnership with Wendy's.
For five games, the Hawks will take on the title of Baconators, named after the fan-favorite sandwich.
“We are extremely excited to get involved in our community in such a fun way,” said Jim and Kathy Taggart, Wendy’s franchisees. “This unique Wendy’s partnership with such a great local organization in the Boise Hawks is a match made in heaven for us. We’ll be rooting for the Boise Baconators to win all season long!”
The team will be wearing customized Baconators jerseys and hats for the five games. Fans can also purchase the Baconators ticket package which includes a reserved seat for each game and a coupon for a free breakfast Baconator.
If the Baconators score more than five runs at one of the games, all fans in attendance will get a coupon for a buy one, get one Baconator.
“We’re excited to be partnering with Wendy’s and their iconic Baconator sandwich for this alternate brand in 2022. Our fans have always eaten Baconator cheeseburgers – now after this season, they can wear Baconators" said Mike Van Hise, Boise Hawks vice president.
