A WWE documentary on The Nexus is in the works
Former WWE Superstar, Fred Rosser (formerly known as Darren Young on WWE) revealed a surprising piece of news. He revealed that WWE is working on a documentary based on The Nexus. They are one of the most popular factions in WWE from the Red-brand.
The Nexus consisted of the wrestlers who participated in the first season of the NXT television show. They were led by the Season one winner and current NXT commentator Wade Barrett. They crashed the main event of WWE Raw and attacked John Cena and CM Punk.
The Nexus completely destroying the main event was unlike anything that had been seen on WWE TV. Recently, Rosser took to Twitter to announce the documentary. He even promoted his current employer, New Japan Pro Wrestling with his tweet.
Only two members of The Nexus are still with WWE
It will be interesting to see that which original members of The Nexus would return for the documentary. Only two members – Wade Barrett and David Otunga, are currently employed with WWE.
Recently banished Superstar, Daniel Bryan was also one of the original members of the faction. But he was released from The Nexus within a week for choking ring announcer Justin Roberts with a tie.
Heath Slater is currently employed with IMPACT Wrestling and PJ Black (formerly known as Justin Gabriel in WWE) is employed with Ring of Honor.
Other members of the original Nexus aren’t currently employed with a national wrestling company. But overall, it would be interesting to see which of the members do return for the documentary.
